Meet the children

Every photo on this website is a real picture taken in Kabale. Nothing is staged for a campaign, and nothing is bought from a photo bank — some pictures are simply what a phone camera could manage that day.

Health

The children who need extra care

Illness used to be constant, mainly because of the water the children drank. With clean water and regular meals, serious illness is now rare.

Two children need continuous medical follow-up: Katushabe, a little girl with epilepsy whose treatment is covered, and a small boy who suffers from Hirschsprung's disease. Others need medication or better nutrition from time to time.

We have also started — and funded — the process of obtaining civil status for the children. Most of them do not officially exist, which blocks everything from schooling to health care later in life.

Sponsor a child's school year

€450 covers a year as a half-boarder, €650 a full year as a boarder — with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
